This Zoom Room, built around a Mac Mini, elevates hybrid meetings beyond standard setups. It features 3x front-facing Sony displays and a rear confidence monitor for presenter engagement with both in-room and remote participants. The system includes 5 cameras: 1x AVer CAM340+ for a wide-angle audience view, and 4x AVer PTZ310UV2s for speaker tracking across 6 zones (4 audience, 2 presenter). Custom programming enables seamless camera transitions with pre-loaded views for a smooth, broadcast-style experience. Audio clarity was vital due to room acoustics, achieved through a QSC Core 110f DSP, Lab Gruppen and QSC amplifiers, and Sennheiser TeamConnect 2 ceiling microphones. A key requirement was native Zoom UI control of zoned tracking—without extra menus. Using USB extenders and Wyrestorm NHD500 AVoIP encoders, each camera appeared as an individual source within Zoom, allowing intuitive camera switching and maintaining a high-quality, inclusive experience.
