Merge Technologies Wins Applied Excellence Award at InAVate APAC Awards 2025 for Canva HQ

We're proud to share that our team has won the Applied Excellence Award at this year’s InAVate APAC Awards in Bangkok, Thailand.

This category is described as:

“An award presented by our judging panel to a project that demonstrated a truly exceptional level of execution.” - InAVate APAC

And that’s exactly what the Canva HQ AV project set out to achieve - from initial consultation to final commissioning.

About the project

Canva's vision for their Sydney headquarters was clear: create intuitive, hybrid-ready spaces that empower teams to collaborate effortlessly, whether they’re in the office or joining remotely.

Merge Technologies was engaged to design and deliver a series of user-friendly, high-performance environments across key spaces including the Town Hall, Boardroom, and Meeting Rooms.

Each space was tailored for its specific function - company-wide town halls, team collaboration, executive meetings, and social events - with a common thread: seamless Zoom Room integration, flexible BYOD capabilities, and best-in-class AV performance.

Some of the standout features included:

• Zoned speaker tracking and mic coverage for intelligent focus during meetings and events
• Native Zoom Room UI camera control, empowering users without overwhelming them
• Consistent, intuitive interfaces across rooms for minimal learning curve
• Meticulous integration work to ensure every component served both form and function
